Sudanese-British NBC star Luol Deng is active in the Darfur Tream Team Sister Schools Program. He most recently traveled to South Sudan with John Prendergast for the independence of South Sudan on July 9, 2011, and hosted a basketball clinic for South Sudanese youth. From his trip, Luol participated in two videos about the basketball clinic and the new state of South Sudan. In February 2010, Luol and Enough Co-founder John Prendergast headlined Education for a Generation, a special reception for the Darfur Dream Team at the Union League Club of Chicago. Additionally, in the lead up to the historic referendum in southern Sudan, Luol made a video with Enough, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful referendum in his home country.
