After hosting its Fifth Annual Evening for Darfur on October 24, Palm Beach Central High School became the highest individual fundraising school in the Darfur Dream Team, or DDT, Sister Schools Program. The event, where Enough Project Co-Founder John Prendergast and I spoke, raised $15,000 for Palm Beach Central’s Darfuri sister school, Aboutalib B, in Goz Amer refugee camp.

New satellite imagery and the testimony of a citizen journalist from Sudan got attention on Capitol Hill yesterday in a briefing highlighting firsthand accounts from the Nuba Mountains of the conflict-torn border region of South Kordofan. A slideshow of powerful images played behind Ryan Boyette, a citizen journalist and former humanitarian aid worker, who brought a very personal perspective to the violence facing the region, a place he has called home for nine years.
Dr. Ellen J. Kennedy, a Minnesota-based professor, wrote this guest blog post about her ‘Enough Moment,’ which inspired the creation of a non-profit organization called World Without Genocide and a poignant project where her students reflected on their decisions to become activists.
