Daniel Maree - Special Assistant to John Prendergast
Daniel Maree is Special Assistant to Enough co-founder John Prendergast. He comes to Enough from the Beverly Hills-based Participant Media, where he assisted their Social Action & Advocacy team on grassroots campaigns for several films, including Food, Inc., Charlie Wilson’s War, and Darfur NOW. Raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, he also served as a contributing blogger on African affairs for the social action network TakePart.com. A graduate of American University, Daniel designed his degree in history, philosophy and film and spends his free time working on several film and media projects. While still in school he helped launch the Roosevelt Institution, a non-profit, non-partisan network of campus-based student think tanks and founded Ubuntu Universal, an indie record label and community of artists dedicated to African development and cross-cultural communication.
