Eileen White Read, Associate Director of Communications of the Enough Project at the Center for American Progress, brings ten years’ experience writing for The Wall Street Journal, where her beats included aerospace and defense, technology, telecommunications, arts & culture, and, most recently, the outdoors for the pioneering Friday Weekend Journal section. Previously, she was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University and holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and French from American University. Her experience in the nonprofit sector includes project management, communications, event management, and grantseeking for such institutions as Muhammad Yunus’ Microcredit Summit Campaign, Vital Voices Global Partnership, and The Phillips Collection, located in Washington, DC, and the Los Angeles Opera, Children’s Hospital, and the Huntington Library, located in Southern California.
