Tom Burton, Director of Online Communications
Tom is a former Executive Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Chief Political Editor, Australian Financial Review and Managing Editor smh.com.au. Tom has also worked as a senior Ministerial Adviser to the Australian Communication's Minister. He is more recently founder and developer and publisher of a series of web 2.0 social media and B2B web sites. Tom served as President of the Australian Journalist's Association for three years and was Chair of the Walkley's Foundation for seven years. He is a former PTA President and currently edits a school newsletter for Somerset Elementary School and coaches debating at Westland Middle School. Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from the University of NSW, is admitted to the NSW Supreme Court. He completed the Executive Management program at North Western University, Evaston.
