Special screening during Session 1: “The New Face of Genocide in the 21st Century”

What: The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) presents the screening of “40 Years of Silence: An Indonesian Tragedy” during Session 1: “The New Face of Genocide in the 21st Century.” The feature length documentary focuses on how children deal with severe trauma caused by the death, imprisonment and disappearance of close family members.  

Directed by Dr. Robert Lemelson, Anthropologist at UCLA’s Semel Institute of Neuroscience and edited by two-time Academy Award® winner Pietro Scalia (“JFK,” “Black Hawk Down”).
