David Spett is the Administrative & Operations Manager for the Enough Project. From 2008 to 2011, he ran a program at Campus Progress that funded and trained more than 50 college student media groups. Before graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2008, he was named one of the top 100 college journalists in the country by UWire, a division of CBS.
David, a New Jersey native, came to Washington from Harrisburg, PA, where he covered politics and the 2008 election for several newspapers, including The Philadelphia Inquirer and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and a website and wire service, Capitolwire.com. He has also interned for the Cape Times, a daily newspaper in Cape Town, South Africa; the Chicago Reader; four local newspapers in Manhattan and New Jersey; the American Civil Liberties Union; the Environmental Defense Fund; and United for Peace and Justice. He held a fellowship with People for the American Way and spent three months investigating a murder case for the Medill Innocence Project.
