Joseph Enten, Special Assistant to John Prendergast

Joe is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Political Science and certificates in Latin American Studies and African Studies. Prior to joining Enough, Joe worked in the Executive Office of the Mayor in Washington, DC.

Joe spent several months living and working in rural Tanzania with the human rights organization WOMEDA: Women’s Emancipation and Development Agency, as well as the development organization FADECO: Family Alliance for Development and Cooperation.

During college, Joe was one of the original members of a student- run tutoring group called Keep It Real, which aimed to help assimilate Somali Bantu refugees in the Pittsburgh area. Joe enjoys watching and rooting for Washington sports teams, traveling, long walks on the beach, and staying connected to his Somali second family, the Muyas.
